Willows Green Permaculture
A company serving individuals, communities and the environment.
Hello and Welcome to Willows Green Permaculture. We are Stefan Dixon and Magali Laville! Here at Willows Green Permaculture, you can find the seeds you need to grow your own food. All of our seeds are grown right here in our Zone 5b garden in Stirling, Ontario! Everything is grown naturally, without any chemicals or fertilizers, beyond organic, using nature as our guide. We also sell starts for your summer vegetable, herb and flower garden, and native trees, native fruit trees, native shrubs and native flowers, all grown right here in our nursery. Finally, if you are interested in starting a garden or in doing permaculture or working with nature to grow your own food, you can reserve one of our in-person or on-line consultations!
We are foodforest-gardeners, nature stewards, consultants, authors, and speakers specializing in environmental education, and we have decades of experience in education behind us as former teachers and school administrators. At Willows Green Permaculture, we grow food and restore native biodiversity on our small Zone 5b–6a homestead in Canada. We garden with nature—creating wildlife habitat, building living soil, and tending a thriving, biodiverse food forest without chemicals or fertilizers. We not only grow our own food, we are stewards of the land, so we may share it with all of the native wildlife that lives here with us. Our mission is simple: help people grow food, restore ecological health, and reconnect with the natural world.
For more than 35 years, Stefan has created gardens and restored natural habitats in Canada and Mexico. His hands-on experience allows him to design resilient, regenerative spaces that support biodiversity and ecological balance. He offers consulting services for those wishing to create their own thriving ecosystems, including food forest design, permaculture planning, project funding, implementation, and long-term maintenance. In education, Stefan brings 35 years of experience across Canada, Japan, and Mexico. He has led school transformation initiatives through the creation of outdoor classrooms and native habitat restoration projects, bringing together students, families, staff, and community members. This unique combination of ecological and educational expertise allows him to guide schools and local community organisations toward meaningful, nature-based exploring, living and learning environments. Whether you garden on a balcony, a city lot, or a rural property, Stefan and Magali’s goal is to support you in growing nourishing food, revitalizing ecosystems, and living more closely with nature.
