Preferences: Medium loamy soil, in a sunny or partially shaded location. It also grows well in moist soil. It produces delicious blue berries with a very sweet, prune-like flavour, excellent for making jam or fruit butter. Ripe, they can be eaten straight from the tree! The berries provide a constant source of food for birds throughout the winter. The shrub displays lovely white flowers in spring, a beautiful wine-red colour in autumn, and then blue berries in winter. Zones 2 to 7. Height 4 to 5 m. This seed requires cold stratification to germinate. Sow in autumn directly in the ground, or in pots outdoors during the winter. Alternatively, keep the seeds in the refrigerator for at least two months, then sow in spring in pots or directly in the ground.

At least 25 seeds per packet.
