Briar Rose (Rosa canina)

A non-native rose grown for its abundant large hips, ideal for jams and jellies. The hips are plump and naturally sweet, and can be harvested into mid-winter for maximum sweetness after frost. Since this is a non-native perennial species, we recommend harvesting all hips to help keep the plant in balance and prevent unwanted spread.
