Seneca Red Stalk Corn (Zea mays)

An heirloom Indigenous corn traditionally associated with Haudenosaunee growers of northeastern North America. Plants are striking, with deep burgundy stems and richly coloured husks that often blush wine-red as the ears mature. A beautiful heritage variety valued both for food and cultural significance. Grain type can vary by seed lineage (often flour or flint types).
