Tomato - Roma (Solanum lycopersicum)

A classic paste tomato with elongated, fleshy red fruits and relatively few seeds. Roma tomatoes are prized for sauces, preserves, tomato paste and drying because their firm flesh contains less juice than many slicing tomatoes. Our Roma produces fruits that can vary considerably in size: some are the familiar medium-sized Roma, while others can become considerably larger. We have found this variation to be a useful feature, giving us both convenient smaller fruits and larger, meaty tomatoes for the kitchen.

Growing: Start seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last expected frost. Transplant outdoors after the danger of frost has passed, when the soil has warmed. Provide full sun and fertile soil. Determinate.

At least 25 seeds per packet.
