Tomato - Sart Roloise (Solanum lycopersicum)

A spectacular modern tomato from Belgium, developed by Roland Boulanger in 2012 from a cross between ‘White Wonder’ and ‘Baby Blue’. The large, slightly flattened beefsteak fruits are pale yellow to creamy white, with striking indigo-blue to almost black colouring across the shoulders. The firm, dense flesh has a sweet, fruity and complex flavour with a pleasant acidity. A truly beautiful tomato both in the garden and on the plate.

Growing: Start seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last expected frost. Transplant outdoors after the danger of frost has passed, when the soil has warmed. Provide full sun, fertile soil and sturdy support. Indeterminate.
