The fastest growing watermelon, and very abundant! It will grow where no other watermelon will grow, in cooler climates with shorter seasons. This is the original centuries-old jam watermelon, used for preserves and for the jam and cake served for celebrating the Twelfth Night of Christmas many centuries ago in France! This bland, white-fleshed watermelon with bright red seeds will stay on the shelf for months, like a winter squash, even up to two years or more! In fact, I have started to call this the Winter Watermelon! The skin will turn a bright yellow over those two years. I have used some for jam that sat on my counter, fresh, for two years! The pectin content, however, is more potent when the skin is still green in its first year after harvest.

At least 50 seeds per packet.
